The New Zealand-based company Fisher & Paykel recently unveiled the F&P 950, a heated humidification system designed to provide respiratory support across a range of procedures and therapies.
In a statement, Lewis Gradon, the managing director and CEO of Fisher & Paykel, calls attention to the key attributes of the device. “The F&P 950 incorporates new design improvements, such as integrated probes, a touch screen, intuitive user support, and incorporates our patented Evaqua technology, which minimizes condensation,” Gradon says.
In making the announcement, the manufacturer notes the 50,000 hours of clinical trials the device went through brought largely positive feedback. Clinicians were reportedly especially high on how easy it is to set up the F&P 950 for general use.
The device will launch in New Zealand and Australia, with introduction to the Canadian and European markets to follow. The device is awaiting FDA clearance for use in the United States.
