A team of researchers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) developed a miniature injectable robot used to remove foreign objects from the stomach.
Created using a pig intestine used in sausage, once swallowed and in the stomach, the robot unfolds itself. The robot attaches to the forgein object and with an external magnetic force, helps lead the forgeign object out of the body.
This technology will allow small, harmful objects to be removed without needing surgery.
