The enclosures are designed for peripheral and interface equipment, medical and laboratory technology, healthcare, measurement and control engineering, communications and more. They can be used for desktop, handheld and wall-mounted applications.
OKW’s new version of the enclosures feature flat aluminum end plates rather than recessed plastic end covers and seals that originally came with other Smart-Terminal versions. Each end plate is held in place by four screws that are easily accessible and sit flush in countersunk holes.
The switch to aluminum makes the cases cost less while offering added protection. The enclosure’s Smart-Terminal matte anodized aluminum case body features a large recessed area on top for displays, membrane keypads and operating elements. T-groove screw channels help PCBs slide in and out, while the base can be detached.
OKW’s new enclosure version is available in 6.69 in. lengths with a height of 1.96 in. There are three length options that include 6.45 in., 8.03 in. and 9.60 in.
The company also offer full customization of the enclosures which includes painting; CNC machining; lacquering; screen, tempo or digital printing of legends and logos; installation and assembly of accessories; display windows; membrane keypads and touchscreens.
