While 3D printing is nothing new, hospitals printing surgical aids may just be the latest money-saving technique, according to Harvard Medical School.
These bones are used to fix other parts of the body, in a process called “free flap vascularized transfer.”
This process helps fix jaws, fingers, and toes.
