All Sensors (Morgan Hill, Calif.) said it has introduced additional pressure ranges to its BLC series. Applications for the series include medical devices, medical instruments and portable/hand held devices.
The series now includes high-pressure ranges from 5 psi to 150 psi, offering design engineers performance for pressure ranges of ±1 inH2O through ±30 inH2O, and now 5 psi to 150 psi gage and differential and 15 psi to 150 psi absolute.
The BLC series basic low-pressure compact sensors provide a high output signal at a low operating voltage, maintaining comparable output levels to traditional equivalent basic sensing elements, according to the company. This lower supply voltage gives rise to improved warm-up shift while the company’s CoBeam technology reduces package stress susceptibility, resulting in improved overall long-term stability. The technology also improves position sensitivity compared with conventional single die devices, All Sensors said.
This series is intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air or dry gases. Its compact size is suitable for small mobile devices. The basic output is also ratiometric to the supply voltage and is operable from 0.9 to 1.8 volts DC, ideal for battery applications. Devices are available in 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 inH2O (0.2, 1.2, 2.5, 5, 7.5 kPa) and 5, 15, 30, 100, 150 psi (34, 103, 207, 689, 1034 kPa) differential and gage as well as 15, 30, 100 and 150 psi (103, 207, 690, 1034 kPa) absolute pressure ranges.
