Resonetics has signed an agreement to acquire Resolution Medical, the medical device contract development and manufacturing organization said on Tuesday.

Nashua, New Hampshire–based Resonetics said the deal would expand its capabilities for increasingly complex devices in the neuromodulation, structural heart and interventional cardiology therapeutic markets.

Resolution Medical has expertise in nitinol and specializes in integrated design engineering, manufacturing solutions and new product introduction (NPI), supporting a wide range of complex Class II and III devices in the neuromodulation and structural heart markets.

The transaction is expected to close this year, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The two companies will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes.

Resonetics CEO Kevin Kelly called Resolution Medical “an exceptional organization with deep technical expertise, a strong innovation culture, and a proven track record in designing and developing complex medical devices for the most innovative companies.”

“This acquisition will enhance our ability to deliver fully integrated solutions for customers in high-growth markets like neuromodulation and structural heart and supports our vision of becoming the most comprehensive partner in the medical device industry,” he continued in a news release.

Fridley, Minnesota-based Resolution Medical has a 36,000-square-foot manufacturing facility with ISO Class 7 cleanrooms. The company also has operations in the Netherlands, and globally has more than 240 employees, including more than 100 engineers.

“By joining Resonetics, our employees also gain access to the skills, resources, and opportunities of a larger organization,” Resolution Medical CEO Peter Herman said in the release. “Resolution Medical will be able to operate at greater scale and deliver enhanced solutions to our customers while continuing to support their programs with the same teams, expertise, and commitment they rely on today.”

Backed by private equity firms Carlyle and GTCR, Resonetics is one of the largest nitinol partners for medical device companies, providing end-to-end medical device development and manufacturing services. The company has grown through several recent acquisitions, including pulse generator manufacturing assets from Med-Ally in January 2026, Eden Holdings and gun drilling assets from Medical Component Specialists in 2025 and the 2023 purchase of Memry Corp. and SAES Smart Materials for $900 million.
