The Zephyr endobronchial valve from Pulmonx is an endoscopic lung volume reduction therapy that can improve lung function, exercise capacity and quality of life for emphysema patients.
Zephyr valves are delivered to target airways using a flexible delivery catheter and a standard bronchoscope. Once the valves are implanted, the one-way valves prevent airflow into the diseased region and allow trapped air and fluids to escape, according to Pulmonx.
