Silk Road Medical raised $47 million in venture capital last year during the third quarter of 2017, MoneyTree reports. The company raised the money in the later stage of development in its seventh investment sequence. Investors include CRG, Janus Capital Group, Norwest Venture Partners, The Vertical Group and Warburg Pincus.

The company manufactures less-invasive medical devices that are designed to improve the treatment of carotid artery disease using transcarotid therapies. Silk Road Medical is working to improve the lives of people with carotid artery disease.
